Home is operated by Curiosity. Using it means agreeing to what is below. It is written to be read, not to be impenetrable.
What you get
A shared organiser for your household: a merged calendar, tasks and reminders, shopping lists, a shared inbox and messages. Features change over time. Anything materially removed will be announced in the app first.
What it costs
Free for the first 14 days, then NZ$10 a month, billed through Stripe and covering everyone in that household. Cancel whenever you like and it runs to the end of the period you have paid for; there are no refunds for part of a month. When a subscription lapses the household becomes read-only rather than closed: everything already in it stays visible, and nothing new can be added until it resumes. Promotional codes may make it free for a period, and when that period ends the normal price applies unless you cancel.
Your account
You sign in with Google, so account security is largely Google’s. Everyone you invite into your household can see and change everything in it — invite accordingly. You are responsible for what your household puts in.
Acceptable use
Do not use Home to break the law, to store other people’s data without their knowledge, or to send mail you are not entitled to send. Accounts doing any of that can be closed without notice.
Your data
It is yours. Curiosity does not sell it or use it for advertising. The privacy page says exactly what is stored and how to delete it.
Third parties
Home depends on Google, Microsoft, Supabase, Netlify, Cloudflare and Stripe. When one of them has an outage or changes an API, parts of the app can stop working until it is fixed. Calendar sync in particular depends on access those providers can revoke.
No guarantees
Home is provided as-is. It is a household organiser, not a system of record — keep anything critical somewhere you control as well. To the extent the law allows, Curiosity’s liability is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before the problem.
Ending it
Cancel any time in Settings. Curiosity may close an account for a breach of these terms, or wind the service down entirely with at least 30 days’ notice and a way to export your data.
Law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
